From Spring 2019, the defining season for Luke and Lucie Meier's Jil Sander menswear.This piece served as a pivotal element in the collection as relaxed, elongated underlayers played a huge role in establishing thenew Jil silhouette.Versions of this piecewere shown under long coats, sweaters, and short blousons, the long length and statement latchedcollar providing a layered effect and an armorlike protected neckline. The detailing mixes uniforms from different worlds with a wool/polyester blend ripstopconjuringvisions ofmilitary utility and monastic fluid drape, and thehighmilitaristic 'shield' at the neck protecting an exaggerated clergy collar underneath.Finished with button front closure, back pleated panel, split hem, and button barrel cuffs.

Fluid wool and drape means this piece works amazingly well oversize. Though it is tagged size 41 (L-XL) it can easilysuit a medium or small with the sleeve cuffed once or twice.
